The Flagler School will be used for a multi-agency law enforcement training March 16th-18th. The facility will be off-limits to staff and community members between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM each of those days. You will see a large law enforcement presence around the school at that time.

We are fortunate to have Mr. James Elliott leading the classes. Mr. Elliott is the current math teacher at Hi-Plains and has experience teaching for over 20 years. He is talented in many areas, including STEM subjects, technology, and is also well-versed in music. He has a passion for reaching out to kids and has taught standardized test prep classes with much success in Cheyenne Wells. The sessions will cover all subjects on the SATs and PSATs, the now-digitized testing format, and, very importantly, will familiarize students with the Desmos Graphing Utility. This modality is now used in the math section of the test. Please note that a heavy emphasis will be placed on the math section and the graphing utility. The students will receive a workbook to keep for working through problems and studying as needed during and after the sessions!
